Yes, Nax...I fully intend to try a Savage on the road before buying it! This is the mistake I made when I bought my 1996 Kawasaki Vulcan 800 last Thanksgiving. I was so impressed with its classy appearance and cherry condition that I bought it without ever riding it! After only 56 miles since owning it, I realize that I'll never be satisfied with it because of its weight and its intimidating power! It's just too much motorcycle for me at this stage in my life!
The roads I'll be traveling in my 3000' altitude High Desert country are mostly asphalt and some dirt, no gravel.
